I was a client of Gary's with Southwest Consulting. Gary has a wealth of experience and is good at relating the discussion topics to actual real world experiences. Over the year that I was a client, I learned many new skills and honed other skills that have helped me put my agency on track to increase sales and of course our income. I believe we are in a position to have sustainable success because of the coaching.

To say that Gary is exceptional as a coach is still an understatement. He is the epitome of professionalism in every sense of the word. Mentoring those who are transitioning back to the civilian world such as myself is certainly Gary's bread and butter. His sage advice, wisdom, and experience have significantly boosted my confidence to meet the next set of challenges head on as I will use what he had eloquently shared as my sail and rudder in my voyage to the uncharted chapter of my life.

Gary got me hired! And he can do the same for you. You already know that transitioning from the military to the private sector is a complex journey filled with many twists and turns. If you are like me, it is easy to get lost.
Fortunately, there is Gary Rohman; his expertise and ability to coach act as a guide WILL land you the job of your dreams. All I can say is thanks to Gary; you will be saying thanks after you accept him as your corporate coach.

Gary is a true professional. He was my mentor when I was a fellow at The Honor Foundation (THF). I learned a great deal from him. He created the right environment for us to connect on professional and personal level. I consider him a sincere friend and a well wisher.

Gary,
Hope all is well. I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how a piece of advice you had given us has affected me today in my job hunt: you told us the importance of social networking, and mentioned how that’s half the battle of applying for jobs. You recommended when targeting a role, that we find people in that position on LinkedIn, shoot them a message for tips, and use that leverage you just created in that own company to launch yourself further. It’s helped me tremendously in my job hunt. some connects came easy: a fellow ex marine in a position like the ones I’m pursuing, and some came with more social engineering, but generally most people are willing to help an ambitious young veteran who’s going out their way to show interest in that individual and their role. I bring this up because I would have never thought to do that in a million years!
- Anthony Alcala
Gary,
Really appreciate your insights and the time you dedicated to teaching me crucial resume skills. Your openness about your journey resonates with me and will serve me as I prepare to transition out of the military. Thank you.
- Caliph Lebrun
Hi Gary,
Thank you for your kind words! It was a pleasure meeting you, and I truly enjoyed our conversation. I appreciate your recommendations on my resume; they were incredibly helpful. After speaking with you, many of my apprehensions about transitioning out of the service were put at ease.
I’m looking forward to discussing the podcast and will reach out as we finalize the details.
Thanks again for your support, and I look forward to staying in touch!
Best,
- Jose Alvarez
Hey Gary,
Just wanted to reach out and let you know how the rest of my transition went. I am settled in Cleveland and just started my electrician apprenticeship last week. I am enjoying it so far and plan on starting my own shop when I finish in 5 years.
I wanted to say thank you for all the help and for you taking your previous time to help veterans like myself. I would not have been prepared for the transition if not for you and the Honor Foundation.
I was accepted in the union as an apprentice after 30 days because they were so impressed with my background and my interview skills. Speaking with other people here it looks like the average wait time to get in is 2-3 years. I was ranked #1 out of 113 other applicants. I would be in a very different position if THF did not give me the resources to be so prepared for my transition.
Please continue what you are doing because it makes a huge difference. I hope you and your wife and doing well and are healthy. Thanks for everything Gary.
- Sam Jones
Thank you so much for all that you taught. It meant the world to me. I feel so prepared! Wishing you blessings.

Gary, I appreciate you for providing your level of care and expertise to the Marines and Sailors over the years. Your dedication to the service members and their futures will carry out with them far from our separation from the military. Semper Fidelis.
- Isaiah Bamba
Good evening Gary,
I just want to say thank you for your work this last week. For those of us who cared, it was incredibly insightful and useful. I want to share two very short stories with you.
Rob, the Recon Marine, talked with me a bit, asked me to review his resume, and shared what he liked about your course.
Manny (Manuel), the kid next to me, he nailed the professional introduction Thursday. And after mine, I tweaked it and tailored it, and that is what I ultimately gave you on Friday.
I know there were those hard to work with in that shop, but on behalf of the Marines and the Marine Corps, I want you to know you truly made a difference, and those that care about their future, they definitely took a bit from your class.
I know I did.
So thank you Sir (formal title, not point of age), for your contribution to all of our future.
Best regards,
Wayne

Good afternoon Gary,
I would like to thank you for the time you gave us from your life. I believe that the true value of a person can be assessed by how he or she affects others. With this in mind I would like to make sure that you know that you have been a positive effect on the group of Marines that you spent your time with this past week. Your experience and caring is above reproach. Thanks for your time, it was important to me. I believe that the time you have given is valuable and I would like to believe that I won't forget it. Please know that you are More than enough. You are amazing to the younger people you teach, Thank you for that.
Sincerely submitted,
Mitchell Nevins

Gary, thank you for all your help with the employment process this week. Your guidance on resume writing was particularly valuable. I am excited to participate in your podcast, text or call, you have my number.
- Luis Juarez
Good Morning Gary, the pleasure is all mine. I thoroughly enjoyed your class. I had taken a similar class about 14 years ago and the quality of the class was subpar at best. I am glad the TRS education model is evolving because there was so much value added in your workshop. It doesn’t hurt to have a professional give industry insight from his past career, and his experiences. At times I was preoccupied and it was because with each lesson, I could feel the pressure climbing for me with regard to retirement just over the hill. To say it has been a challenge to this point is an understatement, and the challenge only continues attempting to lock down a skillbridge and into transitioning from the military and into the civilian culture and atmosphere. Side note, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to sit in on, and interview yesterday afternoon. I have to do what I can to get my brand and name out there. You take care, and I hope you have an amazing weekend.
Very Respectfully
Ron Fannin
